The beautiful thing about being human is that we have so many ways of expressing ourselves and getting in touch with our inner wisdom.  We really do have all the answers we need inside us however, most of us have not been trained to go looking for what lies within, leaving us to go without.

Back in 2007 I worked with an Art Therapist and the attached pictures drawn with my left hand (non dominant) revealed how I was feeling and what I really wanted in my life.  It was then up to me to remove any limiting beliefs which would prevent me from achieving my dream life.

Only the other day a friend of a friend said to me, “Oh! Wow! You are living your dream life.”   It was a wonderful feeling and I know I still have so much further to travel, which is even more exciting.

As part of Inner Child Therapy I now incorporate drawings to get in touch with our inner wisdom.  We learn to draw before we learn to write, it is innate to us.

Working through the Pain

With no idea which crayon my non dominant hand would pick it simply choose and started to draw my emotions. I could indeed identify with the pain of feeling trapped.  The sadness was so deep.  My heart was locked up to keep it safe from any possible hurt.  I was drifting through life without a ruder.

Once they were revealed it was time to acknowledge them, release them and start the healing process.    Breaking through the limiting Beliefs took awhile as there were secondary gains to be made by keeping me stuck in a rut, nibbling away at my self-esteem and self-confidence.  Smothering my emotions in alcohol, smoking.  Feeling anxious, fearful of the future.  My energy being sapped away with little or no motivation, life was flat and I called it “FINE”  Fearful, Insecure, Neurotic, Empty.   I can laugh at myself now yet it wasn’t funny at the time.  Life is just amazing when we get out of our own way. Peace Within

Before establishing myself as a Clinical Hypnotherapist, I worked for many years in International Business in the UK and the Far East. During that time it occurred to me that I had lost touch with who I was. One brave day I resigned from my job in Hong Kong and set off on my own life’s adventure. Travelling throughout South East Asia was a feast for the mind and soul. On returning to the UK I discovered Hypnotherapy which provided a new perspective on life. The techniques empowered me to get to the root of issues, to release them and to gain new positive choices to situations. My new path began in 2000 when I trained as a Clinical Hypnotherapist at Central England Holistic Therapies. Attending training, conferences, and workshops around the world as part of my commitment to continuous growth and development for my life adventure. There is a great sense of joy from meeting like-minded people, sharing experiences and always gaining new insights. Cycling, toastmasters, travelling, pilates and volunteering at my local community arts center are some my joys in life. Reading has always been a great source of inspiration. What lights up my day is, empowering you to find your unique solution to reduce the butterflies of anxiety and self-doubt in daily life. Together we explore your inner confidence, inner calm and energy for what is important to you in your life. With your commitment we get to the root of what torments you, let it go and moving to a place of content. Allowing you to feel self-acceptance, space to make empowering choices, which create balance, so you can light up your day.
