While savouring the sensorial delights of Barcelona, I have taken the opportunity to spend some time practising meditation in Park Güell amongst the imaginative and playful Gaudi creations. How wonderful, to experience such creativity in a park that has been designed to provide peace and calm while incorporating Gaudi’s work into the landscape.

Practising meditation on a regular basis can improve our ability to focus our mind, reduce anxiety, increase creativity, increase our empathy and compassion towards others, and improve our memory which inturn can increase our productivity in day to day life. Mindful meditation can also help us to experience more positive emotions, which has profound affects on how we experience the world around us.

Meditation can be practised anywhere, and normally I have incorporated it into my daily routine and how I like to start my day in the privacy of my home, while today I feel a deep sense of gratitude at the opportunity to practise here. As a very personal practice I would encourage everyone to explore what works for them. Before establishing myself as a Clinical Hypnotherapist, I worked for many years in International Business in the UK and the Far East.
